Makerspace is a new ‘pop-up’ hands-on learning lab inside the Rosenthal Library.
We’re located on Floor 1, Room 101, adjacent to Media Commons.
Inspired by “the maker movement” our Makerspace aims to provide a place to learn new skills as well as a forum for sharing and exchanging ideas with others.
Each week we’re expanding our tools & resources. We currently provide support for:
- sewing & digital embroidery
- communal workspace
- Arduino & Raspberry Pi (Linux)
Long-term we hope to provide support for:
- laser etching & engraving
- CNC digital fabrication
- hand tools & hardware
- Internet of Things
- basic electronics
- & more!
The Makerspace is ‘open’ whenever a team member is present.
For the remainder of the Spring semester our hours are:
Swing by, say hi, we’ll show you around.
